Paul Callan

 

Paul currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for San Diego based aerospace company, PKL Services, Inc. ,where he leads the strategic performance of the company in support of the Owner and Board of Directors. Additionally, Paul leads the Corporate Staff ensuring unity of effort, cohesive planning, and integrated execution related to PKL’s 5-year strategic plan.

Paul joined PKL Services in 2010 following a distinguished 27-year career with the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel. Paul served multiple tours as a Commanding Officer, Chief of Staff, Executive Officer, and Operations officer. Paul also served as a Branch Head at Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. Paul has combat experience in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, with his final assignment as Chief of Staff, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing, operating in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Paul is the creator of The Callan Course—an elite leadership development program used by corporations, government agencies, universities, and the military. Using his background in leadership and training, Paul also created the OmniSpec® Training System, an innovative mixed-reality program incorporating full career continuum training artfully supplemented with high-tech simulation modalities (CBT, AR, VR).

Paul earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colgate University, and multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts degree in National Security Strategy from the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island, graduating Suma Cum Laude.

Paul earned numerous military awards and decorations including The Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, two Meritorious Service Medals, multiple Navy Marine Corps Commendation and Achievement Medals, and several unit and campaign medals and ribbons. Additionally, Paul was selected as the 1997 Marine Ground Officer of the Year by the Marine Corps Aviation Association.
